Attention Small and Minority Business Owners!

Small and minority business owners interested in increasing their exposure to State, local, and federal  government contracting opportunities are encouraged to attend a free workshop focused on Maryland's Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and  Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification program.

 

Demystify the Application Process

  1. Receive a comprehensive overview of the certification process.
  2. Take and in-depth look at the Uniform Certification Application.
  3. Meet with a certification expert one-on-one and ask question about the applciation as it relates to your business.

 

Who Should Attend

  1. Firms interested in learning about the benefits of MBE/DBE certification.
  2. Firms with questions about the application and/or the applicaition process.
  3. Firms seeking guidance on specific elements of the application.

 

The MBE/DBE Application Assistance Workshop us hosted by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of Minority Business Administration (OMBE)- the official certification agency for the State.

Government Contracting 101: Intro to the Federal Procurement Process

 

To be successful in federal government contracting, entrepreneurs need a comprehensive knowledge of how the federal procurement process works and how that process impacts the decisions and approaches that a contractor must make in evaluating the federal market. 

 

This workshop helps demystify the federal procurement process and to serves as base-course for advanced procurement workshops.  After taking this workshop you should have an understanding of the pre-award steps that a contractor needs know plus how the government makes purchases.
